Out of Town / Traveling Students & Practitioners visitng Maui: if you are on Maui 3-5 days or more and have an established Mysore practice, Please complete registration and waiver at this link for your scheduled visit must be arranged with Christina Martini prior to arrival at the shala. If you have no experience in Ashtanga Yoga, Private instruction sessions can be scheduled.

Beginners to Advanced levels, our classes are suited for all.

Residents of Maui and Online Practitioners: To practice and study Ashtanga Yoga with Christina Martini New local students are required to make a commitment to attend 3-4 classes a week minimum. A regular practice is 5-6 days a week.

    Private Yoga Instruction includes foundation of Asanas (posture), Pranayama (breathing technique), Bandhas (internal muscular locks-Mula, Uddiyana, Jalandhara), Mantra - chanting (Ashtanga Yoga Opening & Closing Mantra, Shanti Mantra), Vinyasa (breath & movement system), Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations A & B ), seated breath awareness, Meditation practice and eastern Yoga Philosophy. Each session will vary and grow from the Introductory to yoga, 8 limbs, benefits of postures, breath work, movement, meditation for your personal needs using the method and system of yoga chikitsa, yoga therapy of the Ashtanga series then progressing based on your conditions and ability to gradually grow. Private Instructions also allows you to gain an understanding of how to continue a dinacharya - daily routine, daily yoga practice in a sustainable manner. For seasoned practitioners this will be an enriching support to serve the needs of the individual as each will vary based on needs and conditions. A questionnaire and understanding of your intentions why you are interested in beginning a yoga practice to help you with your intentions and purpose.
