Residents of Maui and Online Zoom Practitioners: Recommendation is to make a commitment to yourself to attend minimum 2-3 classes a week to experience the whole benefit of yoga, breath work and meditation. Because Yoga is a lifestyle , lifelong practice , it is integrated as a daily practice 4-6 days a week where it can best fit into your life schedule as a ritual.  The ancient roots are profound and life transforming to your overall wellbeing. Christina has made the tuition and drop in affordable to give everyone the opportunity to practice this profound eastern system of yoga. 

Out of Town / Traveling & Returning Students & Practitioners visiting Maui:   If your itinerary permits  2-3 days minimum while you are on Maui if not, drop in is allowed. 

HOW TO BEGIN PRACTICE AND STUDY AT THE SHALA

STEP 1 : Complete Registration prior to arriving to class in Shala or Virtual Shala Zoom

STEP 2: Tuition can be paid via cash at time of arrival prior to starting your practice and/or credit card, venmo or zelle prior to arriving at shala or at the shala prior to starting practice. MONTHLY COMMITMENT for resident practitioners, Tuition is due no later than the 5th of each month. please make a reminder for you to remember to send your tuition promptly each month.

STEP 3: You will receive a text, email or phone call from Christina confirming receipt of your registration prior to beginning your Practice. Please Bring your yoga mat & Sweat Towel .

  • Travelers Monthly Unlimited commitment for 5-6 days a week of practice : $200 non resident of Maui, extended stay on Maui. ( 22-24 days a month of practice = estimate $9 a class)

    Private Yoga Instruction includes foundation of Asanas (posture), Pranayama (breathing technique), Bandhas (internal muscular locks-Mula, Uddiyana, Jalandhara), Mantra - chanting (Ashtanga Yoga Opening & Closing Mantra, Shanti Mantra), Vinyasa (breath & movement system), Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations A & B ), seated breath awareness, Meditation practice and eastern Yoga Philosophy. Each session will vary and grow from the Introductory to yoga, 8 limbs, benefits of postures, breath work, movement, meditation for your personal needs using the method and system of yoga chikitsa, yoga therapy of the Ashtanga series then progressing based on your conditions and ability to gradually grow. Private Instructions also allows you to gain an understanding of how to continue a dinacharya - daily routine, daily yoga practice in a sustainable manner. For seasoned practitioners this will be an enriching support to serve the needs of the individual as each will vary based on needs and conditions. A questionnaire and understanding of your intentions why you are interested in beginning a yoga practice to help you with your intentions and purpose.
