Registration begins May 1, 2024 for interested practitioners or Ashtanga Yoga Teachers.

This is a unique opportunity to practice and study directly with Manju P. Jois in a Mysore class setting.
The Mysore classes are open for everybody with an established Ashtanga Yoga practice and who is familiar with Mysore Style Classes. A special bonding time includes Sanskrit chanting of Mantras, Pranayama , Stories of Lineage and Yoga Traditions, Q & A.

Manju Jois is known for his healing hands and his precise adjustments. He has over 45 years teaching experience and is a master in Yoga Therapy. He started yoga at age seven with his father Sri K. Patthabi Jois in Mysore and began teaching at age 15. He has taught continuously throughout the world for the past 50 years. Manju Jois‘ dedicated life-long mission is to provide training for students and teachers in the traditions of Ashtanga Yoga. Manju trains students in the ancient style of yoga, which is a combination of the asanas, Pranayamas and meditation chants. Manju’s teaching style is intensive, joyful, inspiring and humorous. He is honored to pass along all of the traditional components of yoga to his students, as he encourages them: “Unite with yourself“.

Daily schedule: 9:00 - 1:30pm - Ashtanga history, philosophy, methodology, We begin with asana Mysore style practice, deeper study of pranayama- breath for ashtanga yoga therapy and sanskrit mantra -vedic chanting, discussion , Hand on Ashtanga Teacher training Assists, adjustment of postures from primary, intermediate and advance practices to apply as yoga therapy . Each day of our training Includes a specially prepared meal , ayurvedic lunch prepared by Manju Jois. Schedule is subject to change per Manju to a later start 930am or 10 am ends at 2pm .

Shared Occupancy, Spaces are limited, Max 12 practitioners.

To reserve your place a full payment or non refundable deposit 50% has to be made upon reserving your space. The remaining costs has to be paid 30-45 days prior to Dec 8th. Participation is at your own risk. Bring your own mat If you need single occupancy accommodation please send me an e-mail and I will get a discount for you. If you need to work, there is wifi in the hotel , and many workspaces , cafe within walking distance to work.

Costs includes Training days and double occupancy shared lodging, two beds in one hotel room and transportation back and forth from lodging to Manju Jois and back to hotel. (lodging is walking to restaurants, main street D street town, beach access to Moonlight Beach, Stone Steps Beach and Beacon Beach Encinitas, California) . A Teacher Training Certificate Completion of 40 hrs will be available to each participants. This is an ongoing lifelong studies each year with Manju Jois to enrich your practice and teaching knowledge (not included : air ticket, airport transportation to and from, dinner meal)

Trainings are designed for everybody who is interested in the traditional way to teach Ashtanga Yoga.

To attend the teachers training , a regular practice in Ashtanga Yoga (full “Primary Series”) should be established. Some knowledge of Intermediate Series is suggested but not required.

Manju P. Jois will introduce and teach the powerful healing elements and techniques that make up the Ashtanga system. The Primary Series, a series of asanas (postures) known as Yoga Chikitsa (Yoga Healing), the Intermediate Series entitled Nadi Shodhana (nerve cleansing), the Nadi Shodhana Pranayamas (breathing exercises) and the Vedic peace chants (Shanti Mantras).
Manju is known for his healing hands and his precise adjustments. He has over 45 years teaching experience and is a master in Yoga Therapy. These trainings are focused on learning safe and helpful adjustments for each asana of the sequence. We will explore each posture in depth and detail. Manju will show his way of adjusting and assisting people in every position. He will introduce the Vinyasa Count and the correct Sanskrit pronunciation of the asanas and the Opening and Closing Chants.

Furthermore, Manju will teach Nadi Shodana Pranayama as well as the Vedic Peace Chants which help to integrate the strong practice in mind and body. There will be time for discussions so that everybody with serious interest in trguidance from Manju P. Jois
